Mc Ewan's

MC EWAN'S®

With all the warmth and boldness that characterises the beer that bears his name, William McEwan started a modest brewery in the Edinburgh area in 1856. From the very start, it was a huge success. McEwan’s® Scotch Ale is truly a worthy member of that branch of the beer family. It has all the youthful dynamism of an inspired entrepreneur who explored balance through excess. In the beer he created, McEwan, who was later a sagacious Member of Parliament, shares the discerning taste and dignity of his function.

McEwan’s® is as dense, opulent and full-flavoured as its creator. Its taste is redolent of wild landscapes, with an inclination in favour of dark, burnt caramel and spicy notes. It owes its harmonious qualities to the magic wrought by the passing of time, which confers on it a smooth and silky creaminess.

Taste-wise ...

This typical Scottish beer reconciles its caramelised malts with a certain very discreet bitterness, giving it an exotic zest in the mouth. Its elegant, ticklish nose gives immediate reassurance of its intentions, and its of a warm and easily acquired taste, which will quickly makes it a much appreciated and comforting friend.
